　　指警察時往往前面有定冠詞the，指“多個警察”時，前面有時有數詞，有時沒有。可以說a few police，six or sevenpolice。例如：

　　幾百名警察在街上執行任務。

　　注意：police作主語時，謂語動詞應該是復數形式。例如：

　　policeman 是可數名詞。復數形式是policemen，說“一個警察”通常用“a policeman”。例如：
