That was the darkest time of mine.
Nobody liked me during my childhood. In my classmate’s opinions, I was an awful boy with nice school records. No one wanted to be my friend, because every time when someone would like to be my friend, he or she would be cursed by others.
When my classmates were free, they always said something bad to me and called me ‘coward’. When they got bored I always became their favorite toy. They chased me like carnivores chasing their preys. They enjoyed bullying me.
Day by day, they never stopped. I didn’t tell this to mom because I was afraid of them. I wanted to keep this as a secret till I graduate, but I was wrong.
One day a classmate of mine hurt me so much that he nearly cut off a piece of my skin from my hand. Of course my mom found this and realized why I was always wordless and unhappy. I thought she would get angry with me and call me ‘coward’, but to my surprise, mom comforted me with really soft words. She told me to be strong and I was absolutely not a coward. Suddenly, I was not afraid at all. I felt so warm.
Now I am in Year 8, with lots of friends and have a happy school life. I really want to say thanks to my mother. Without her help I will never be a man and I can’t imagine what I will become today.
